Due to the corona crisis, companies are about to collapse and when the lockdown is over, there is a risk that there will be no more capacity to properly secure events. Because a lot of work has been lost, in some cases 100% of the turnover has disappeared. Ard van der Steur expects that the recovery of the events industry will be jeopardized because security guards choose a different profession and companies disappear. When there are not enough security guards, the events industry cannot catch up when this is possible again.
