Hire a fire watch

A fire watch is responsible for the various activities related to prevention and risk reduction. A fire watch is responsible for the safety of others. He or she oversees general safety in a work environment and monitors compliance with safety requirements. By supervising, the fire watch prevents accidents from happening.

In general, firefighters are deployed for:

  • control of protective equipment and personal protection
  • checking for correct compliance with safety requirements and procedures
  • control of permits
  • fighting small, incipient fires
  • evacuate a building
  • performing gas and oxygen measurements
  • apply first aid

Hire industrial fire watch

In the private sector, especially in petrochemicals and industry, firefighters are needed that can be deployed on higher risk projects. A industrial fire watch has knowledge of and experience with chemical substances and processes and the safety regulations involved. Industrial fire watches are used, for example, for hot work and fire fighting for welding and grinding work.

An industrial fire watch therefore performs the same activities as an ordinary fire watch, but is deployed in high-risk working conditions or objects with a fire hazard. He or she is specially trained for the petrochemical and industrial sectors and can also perform gas measurements in addition to normal fire prevention activities.

Hire a manhole guard/outside guard

An industrial fire watch is also called an industrial fire watch in certain cases manhole guard or outside guard named. A 'manhole' is a narrow opening to a confined space. The word 'manhole' is used in industry to indicate an opening intended to access a particular installation in order to carry out maintenance work or checks. Consider, for example, the opening of a steam boiler.

When working in such a confined space, one always serves manhole guard of outside guard to be present. A manhole watch/outside watch performs the same activities as an industrial fire watch and keeps watch outside a manhole. He or she checks whether the employees in the manhole perform their work safely and maintains continuous contact with the employees in the confined space.

Is the safety of employees at risk? Then the manhole watch will act quickly and adequately and call in the right services. He or she can also possibly rescue the employees from the confined space.

Hire gas analyst

For work in confined spaces it is essential that no explosive or toxic substances are present. Therefore, prior to work in a confined space, gas measurements must be taken. A gas analyst is a fire watch expert in gas measurements.
