100 euro bonus for security guards who get vaccinated

Reading time: 1 minute

The Zeeland security company Delta Safe Security promises employees a bonus of 100 euros if they get vaccinated against the corona virus. The company from Middelburg hopes to convince doubting employees.

The scheme takes effect as soon as the employees are called up for an injection. Those who get vaccinated within a month will receive the bonus. Director Bert Graaff tells Omroep Zeeland that he has four reasons for the bonus. He is concerned about the health of the employees, less loss due to absenteeism, reassuring clients and the social interest. The more people get vaccinated, the sooner the corona virus will disappear, says Graaff.

More risk

Graaff points out that security is a profession in which it is not always possible to keep a distance of 1,5 meters. That is why security guards are more at risk than many other professional groups. The director therefore hopes that private security guards will get their turn sooner, although the chance of this is small. Earlier, a plea from the industry associations to give security guards priority during testing failed.
The director sees the bonus as an extra for his 160 employees. Those who do not get vaccinated may miss out on the bonus, but according to him, there is no need to fear other consequences. He does not want to force people to get vaccinated, but encourages it as much as possible.
